Visa Information


The following information has been taken from the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs website www.mfa.go.th and we believe it to be accurate.  However, we recommend that you reconfirm visa requirements with your local Thai Embassy or Travel Agent.

Nationals of the following countries are exempt from visa requirements when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and are permitted to stay for a period of not exceeding 30 days:  Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (Republic), Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vietnam

 

Nationals of countries which hold bilateral agreements with Thailand on the exemption of visa requirements are exempt from visa requirements when entering Thailand for tourism purposes:  Argentina, Bhutan, Cambodia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Laos, Liechtenstein, Macau, Mexico, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Poland, Romania, Russia, Russian Federation, Slovak Republic, Tunisia

 

National from the following countries may apply for Visa on Arrival for the purpose of tourism for the period of not exceeding 15 days. - The applicant must possess means of living expenses at the amount of 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly. - The applicant must present full paid ticket which is usable within 15 days since the date of entry - Applicants should submit the application form duly filled out and to which his/her recent photograph (4 x 6 cm) is attached. The application fee is 1,000 Baht:  Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Czech, Estonia, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Maldives, Mauritius, Oman, Poland, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan

 

Nationals of other countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate-General in the applicant’s country of residence, or at the Royal Thai Embassy which has jurisdiction over his or her country of residence. Travelers are advised to enquire about authorized office for visa issuance at any Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General before departure. Also Note that the Ministry of Public Health has issued regulations that applicants who have traveled from or through the countries which have been declared Yellow Fever Infected Areas must provide an International Health Certificate proving that they have received a Yellow Fever vaccination. These Countries include:  Angola, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Congo Republic, Republic of the Congo, Cote d’Ivore, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French-Guiana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, , Guinea, Guyana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Venezuela
